Joey Shults (Lead Pan):

Hailing from Louisville, KY, Joey holds both a masters degree from Miami University and a Bachelor's degree from Eastern Kentucky University in percussion performance.  As a percussion performance major, he has had experience with both EKU and Miami’s steel band programs.  Caribbean music is only one aspect of Joey’s true love, world music.  As part of his education he has spent time in West Africa and India studying the drumming and dance of the native people.  Joey, his wife Amanda, and their son Brock reside in Cincinnati where Joey works hard as a financial advisor for Ameriprise Financial.
