Our reasons for recording Island Ed’s Lil’ Isle Ditties .

After witnessing the way children react to lively energetic music, Island Ed’s Steel Drum Band began looking into the idea of recording music for children. Each member of the band is either a father, uncle, or a relative to small child.  It was decid ed that the Island Ed Steel Drum Band would focus its collective talents into music that our children and all children could enjoy. In addition to children’s enjoyment, Island Ed’s Lil’ Isle Ditties has been design ed to ed ucate and expose children to world music in a fun and unique way. Complex rhythms and melodies alter ed to fit a Caribbean style are quite stimulating, and their familiarity with the well-known children’s songs makes it an approachable experience.
