In order to fulfill a demand for traditional Island music, the steel band combo Island Ed's Steel Drum Band was born. The combo, composed of four graduates from Miami University, specialize in authentic Island music rooted in traditional Trinidadian, Latin American, and Brazilian styles. The ensemble is comprised of steel drums including a lead pan, double tenor pans as well a rhythm section of bass guitar and drums. With over 25 years of combined steel drum band experience, their unique Caribbean music has entertained crowds ranging from private parties and wedding receptions to corporate events and festivals.
